At Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest, we offer a competitive salary of $95,000 - $115,000 per year for our Transitional Cardiac Unit Registered Nurse RN position. Job Summary

This role supports our 12-bed telemetry unit with a typical 1:3 patient ratio, providing high acuity level of care to a wide variety of cardiac and medical patients. The primary function in this role is to instruct and educate patients and their family members on administering medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs.

  • You will interpret telemetry monitoring strips, identify cardiac rhythms, and intervene to treat and care for dysrhythmias.
  • The nursing team monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate using computerized documentation systems.
  • You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Bachelor's Degree preferred. Licensed a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
