Endoscopy Technician

The Endoscopy Technician will assist providers and registered nurses with endoscopic procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain endoscopic equipment and work areas
- Disinfect and sterilize scopes between procedures
- Assist providers with endoscopic procedures, including patient preparation and specimen handling
- Inventory control and ordering of medical supplies
- Transport patients to various areas within the department or hospital
- Assist RNs with patient flow and preparation for procedures
- Provide assistance with chart preparation and instructional pre-procedure mailings
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) healthcare provider BLS certification required
- Current Washington State C.N.A. or MA-R certification preferred
The Endoscopy Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong problem-solving and analytical skills. The ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities is essential. The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting, with frequent exposure to bodily fluids and potential infection risks.
