Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Manager to join our team at our Melbourne Headquarters or Miramar Operations Center location. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our cybersecurity operations team, ensuring the effective management of cyber threats and incidents, and collaborating with other IT teams and business units to align cybersecurity initiatives with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the cybersecurity operations team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and coordinate incident response activities, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation of cybersecurity threats and incidents.
  • Manage threat intelligence programs and lead efforts to proactively identify and mitigate emerging cyber threats.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage security tools and technologies to enhance SCCU's cybersecurity defenses.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, NIST, FFIEC) and manage cybersecurity risks effectively.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop cybersecurity operations team members, fostering their professional growth and technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's) and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred.
  • 10-15 years experience in cybersecurity operations with at least 5 years in a leadership role required. Experience in the financial services industry or a similarly regulated environment is highly desirable.

Salary Range

$152,820 - $198,666 per annum, depending on experience.
