GovCIO is a leader in providing innovative IT services and solutions for government agencies. We are seeking an experienced Director of Federal Programs to lead our GAO program in Washington, D.C.

This is a remote opportunity that offers a competitive salary of $250,000 - $250,000 per year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in directing federal programs, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets. They will also have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to identify program problems and obtain solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct federal programs, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage budgets.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Lead program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Develop new business or expand the product line with the customer.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
  • Identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
