Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for decorating a variety of bakery products, including bars, pies, cookies, doughnuts, cupcakes, and cakes. You will also be responsible for enhancing the visual appeal of our bakery items, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decorate Bakery Items: Top, finish, and decorate a variety of bakery products to meet our high-quality standards.
  • Enhance Visual Appeal: Create visually appealing and unique bakery items that exceed our guests' expectations.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent service by assisting guests with their bakery needs, taking special orders, and bringing their cake design visions to life.
  • Stock and Maintain Displays: Keep bakery displays fresh and appealing by rotating products and ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Quality and Freshness: Maintain high-quality standards by ensuring products are fresh and removing any items that do not meet our standards.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the Cake Decorator II and other bakery associates to achieve department goals and maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Food Safety: Keep food safety logs up to date and adhere to all food safety guidelines.
  • Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
  • Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.

  • Artistic Talent: A strong artistic sense and the ability to create visually appealing and creative bakery items.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to interact effectively with guests and understand their needs.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure products are decorated beautifully and meet quality standards.
