JOB SUMMARY: The primary role of the Security Officer is to safeguard company assets while ensuring a secure environment for all employees and visitors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the safety and welfare of guests and fellow team members.
- Provide guidance and escort services to customers as needed.
- Assist law enforcement and civil authorities, including providing testimony in legal proceedings.
- Conduct cash fills and verify jackpot payouts.
- Regularly escort individuals handling cash and provide first aid, including CPR when required.
- Patrol the premises to identify safety risks and security breaches, documenting incidents in line with company policy.
- Compile detailed reports on lost and found items.
- Enforce company policies and procedures consistently.
- Adhere to attendance standards and comply with all regulatory and departmental guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a guest-facing role is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with two years of experience in law enforcement, military, or casino security.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, along with proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Must obtain a Nevada Gaming Card, Alcohol Awareness Card (AES), and First Aid & CPR certifications.
- Availability to work any day and shift is essential.
- Must maintain a professional appearance.
- Completion of eight (8) hours of ASP (baton) training is required.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive written reports.
- Must work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a team environment.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

- Act as a role model for all security personnel by adhering to departmental policies.

- Communicate effectively with staff, management, and the public.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, including extreme heat and cold.
- Capability to physically restrain individuals when necessary.
- Remain calm and make rational decisions in crisis situations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
- Tolerance for environments with secondhand smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights.
