Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Stroke Med/Surg unit, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional nursing care to diverse patient populations. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring optimal patient outcomes and maintaining high standards of care.

Facility Information:
This position is located at a prominent healthcare facility known for its commitment to quality and excellence in patient care.

Compensation:
The internal pay scale starts at $52.70 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:
- PM Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Night Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within the department.
- Employ the nursing process for effective planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in nursing practice.
- Take responsibility for nursing care outcomes and maintain accountability.
- Mentor and guide unlicensed nursing staff in providing patient care.
- Contribute positively to safety outcomes and enhance the patient experience.

Essential Qualifications:
- License: Valid RN license in Illinois.
- Certification: BLS certification from an accredited organization.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Unit Information:
- Total Beds: 29
- Patient Population: Focus on cardiac, stroke, and medical-surgical patients.
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: Days - 1:5, Nights - 1:6.
