Job Summary

Lafayette Physical Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a PRN Dietitian, you will play a vital role in advising and counseling inpatients on food and nutrition, assessing dietary needs, and planning therapeutic diets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess dietary needs and plan therapeutic diets for inpatients based on patient's current health concerns
  • Analyze the effects of interventions and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to improve patient outcomes
  • Oversee and implement the preparation and service of meals for patients in the hospital
  • Ensure the dietary department is in compliance with company guidelines, state, federal, and other governing bodies' laws and regulations
  • Assure patients are consistently served diets as ordered, following guidelines for meal times and meal temperatures
Requirements
  • Current Dietitian licensure required in the state of practice
  • Continuing Education of minimum hours every year to sustain credentials
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Additional languages are desirable
  • Basic computer knowledge
