Work Schedule and Pay:
As a Medical Assistant in our Infectious Disease and Immunology Clinic, you will work 90% FTE, 36 hours/week, with 8-hour day shifts scheduled Monday - Friday between 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM. No weekends are required, but hours may vary based on departmental needs. UW Health offers a competitive compensation package, and relevant work experience will be considered when determining your starting base pay. External hires may be eligible for up to a $2,700 sign-on bonus, pro-rated based on FTE.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaint, medications, and allergies, and administer medications and treatments.
- Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
Education and Certifications:
- Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following:
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
- Licensure as an LPN
- Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program
- Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee
- Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated
- One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA, or CCMA Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN
