Job Opportunity at Oklahoma State University

The Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University invites applications for tenure track faculty positions in accounting at the level of assistant, associate, or full professor. The positions are available starting August 2025 at our main campus in Stillwater.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct and publish scholarly research, attend professional conferences and workshops, and provide editorial service. The primary responsibilities include research, teaching, and engaging in service activities for the academic discipline, the School of Accounting, and the Spears School of Business.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in accounting or strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed before August 1, 2025. Evidence of successful teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level is required. Candidates must be able to teach successfully at the undergraduate and master's levels and maintain qualifications for AACSB accreditation.

Desirable Qualifications

We are especially interested in candidates who have a publishing record in top academic accounting journals, who indicate an interest in and ability to work with PhD students, and who will continue to produce research of excellent quality that will have a high impact on the field.
