Requirements
  • Current Dental Hygienist License: Must be licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in Virginia.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree: Must have an Associate or Bachelor degree in dental hygiene (where required).
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
  • CPR Certification: Must be certified in CPR.
Preferred Experience
  • New Grads Welcome: We welcome new graduates to apply.
  • Experience with Velscope and Diagnodent: Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems is a plus.
  • Desire to Learn and Grow: Must have a desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to Perform Essential Duties: Must be able to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged Sitting and Standing: Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Availability for Training: Must be available to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
