Job Title: Transportation Specialist

The Conroe Independent School District is seeking a reliable and skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school on a schedule assigned by the director of transportation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe transportation of students to and from school.
  • Observe all traffic laws and safety regulations for the operation of school buses.
  • Maintain student discipline on bus in a positive and caring manner.
  • Responsible for preventive care of their assigned bus.
  • Maintain current route maps and folders.
  • Submit up-to-date seating charts for all elementary, middle and high school students on their bus.
  • Follow the assigned route and adhere to established schedules.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections before and after each run.
Requirements:
  • A valid Commercial Drivers License-Class A or B plus 2 years experience driving an automobile.
  • Successful completion of behind-the-wheel training.
  • Successful completion of 20 hr. Texas Department of Public Safety Certification Course.
  • Must pass randomly administered drug and alcohol tests.
  • Clearance on criminal history check
Estimated Salary:

$19.50 per hour, 182 days per year.
