Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Certified ICC Special Inspector to join our proficient team of inspectors and expert consultants. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with local building codes and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting on-site inspections to verify adherence to local building regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Collecting samples and executing specific quality assurance and quality control tests on construction materials and components in accordance with ASTM, ACI, and NAQTC standards.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of inspections, observations, and test results.
  • Working independently in the field while being guided by a Professional Engineer or Project Manager.
Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • Current ICC certifications in at least one of the following areas: Soils, Structural Concrete, Post-Tension/Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, or Fireproofing.
  • ACI Field Grade 1 and/or NAQTC certification.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in multi-discipline special inspections and testing.
  • The ability to interpret and understand construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
