About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Direct Support Professional in our Leominster community group home. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD/ADS) in achieving their goals and increasing their independence.

Responsibilities
  • Coach and assist individuals with daily living skills, such as hygiene routines and meal preparation.
  • Support individuals in completing chores and maintaining a safe and healthy living environment.
  • Assist with transportation and support individuals in accessing community resources and services.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support individuals in achieving their goals and increasing their independence.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure that individuals receive the support and services they need to achieve their goals.

Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Active driver's license required.
  • High school diploma or GED, with a bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education preferred.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with IDD/ADS, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.
  • Must be MAPS certified.
Schedule

Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation in Rutland, which runs Monday-Friday, 8AM to 4PM. Schedule proceeding orientation: Sunday 7am-11pm, Monday-Wednesday 3pm-11pm.
