Welder Mechanic

Job Summary:

As a skilled Mechanic Welder at Cedar Point, you will play a vital role in the repair and maintenance of our rides and attractions. This is a unique opportunity to combine your mechanical and welding expertise to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weld items according to specified layouts and blueprints
• Read and interpret technical documents, including work orders and welding procedures
• Perform welding operations in various positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
• Fabricate parts and prepare them for repair
• Operate welding equipment and machines as required
• Work at heights, including aerial lifts, crane baskets, and catwalks
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Effective communication skills and ability to maintain accurate records
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools
• Ability to follow manufacturer's manuals and blueprints
• Willingness to work various shifts and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to pass a mandatory drug test and background check
