Job Description

The Metro YMCA of the Oranges is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to serve as our Welcome Center Associate. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all members feel welcome, supported, and connected to our community.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet members and guests professionally and cordially, making every effort to learn their names and respond to their inquiries efficiently.
  • Utilize Listen First skills during consultations and tours, fostering strong relationships with members, guests, and colleagues.
  • Verify membership status for patrons upon entry, confirming current memberships in our database and granting access to facilities as needed.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, providing clear and caring responses to facility and program inquiries.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service and/or sales is desired.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented abilities are necessary to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs is mandatory, with prior knowledge of Active-net and Camp Brain Software being a plus.
  • Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) is preferred.
