We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Defense Health Agency. As a Supervisory Clinical Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing leadership and guidance to our Behavioral Health team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical supervision to assigned professional and paraprofessional employees, ensuring the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services.
- Function as the authoritative source of information for psychology-related matters, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices in the field.
- Provide guidance to the hospital commander on policy issues related to psychology, ensuring alignment with agency goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement behavioral health treatment plans, utilizing a variety of evidence-based modalities to address the needs of adult patients.
- Conduct psychological autopsies, evaluations, and assessments, including Temporary Disabled Retirement List (TDRL) evaluations and medical boards.
- Exercise leadership and management skills, overseeing the performance of military personnel, federal civilian employees, and contractors assigned to the Clinic.
- Participate in the Military Health Services (MHS) Continuous Quality Improvement Process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance the delivery of behavioral health services.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
- One year of specialized experience conducting biopsychosocial evaluations, providing individual and/or group psychological counseling, and developing behavioral health treatment plans.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and guide a team of professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including military personnel, civilians, and contractors.
