Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in delivering resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will provide essential nursing care and assistance with daily living activities tailored to the individual needs of residents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering age-appropriate care in accordance with established care plans.
- Assisting residents with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Recording vital signs and providing psychosocial support.
- Facilitating resident mobility and participation in wellness programs.
- Documenting care provided and communicating changes in resident conditions to nursing staff.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not mandatory. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Previous experience in long-term care is advantageous. Ongoing education and competency testing are required to maintain certification.
