Position Overview

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images of patients utilizing both stationary and portable equipment within the department.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and yourself, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
2. Operate radiographic machinery with proficiency and safety.
3. Perform essential computer functions, including but not limited to Meditech and PACS, ensuring accurate charge entry and verification of physician orders.
4. Provide professional and courteous patient care throughout the imaging process.
5. Prepare examination rooms for various radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organization of workspaces and inventory of supplies.
6. Assist radiologists in administering medications and contrast agents, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
7. Review each imaging exam for technical precision, including markers, image quality, anatomical positioning, and proper annotations, completing the verification process in PACS.
8. Support the Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS maintenance tasks, including cleaning CR plates and managing exam submissions.
9. Commit to ongoing professional development and educational requirements.
10. Uphold strict confidentiality regarding patient and employee information in accordance with established policies.

Qualifications

Education:
Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology.

Licensure/Certification:
1. Required: Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
2. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Work Schedule
36 hours per week, with shifts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
