Position Overview:

The Overnight Hotel Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and reporting for our establishments. This position involves a detailed review of revenue and expenses, as well as preparing comprehensive reports for the following day’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly during overnight hours.
  • Identify and address guests' accommodation and purchasing requirements.
  • Assist guests and property owners with a proactive and friendly approach, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
  • Manage guest registrations and maintain the rooming chart.
  • Process payments through cash, checks, or credit cards, ensuring accurate change is provided.
  • Verify credit transactions by reviewing identification and utilizing credit card authorization systems.
  • Ensure cash drawer accuracy by counting cash at the start and end of each shift.
  • Reconcile nightly financial records and prepare reports.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests with a friendly demeanor.
  • Provide support for guests arriving with special packages.
  • Facilitate communication with guests effectively.
  • Maintain knowledge of all essential hotel operations.
  • Collaborate with resort associates and resources to enhance service delivery.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Competence in computer-based tasks, including data entry and invoicing.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality settings.
  • Familiarity with accounting practices and administrative responsibilities.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.
