Position Overview

The Senior Director of Resident Engagement is responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive support services and enriching programs tailored for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and conduct initial and annual evaluations of residents, assessing their social, psychological, cognitive, and physical needs. Supervise the creation and execution of personalized service plans and case management services based on assessment outcomes.
  • Provide supportive counseling to residents and their families, facilitating referrals to external community resources as necessary.
  • Manage care coordination for residents requiring assistance in accessing and organizing care with external providers, agencies, and healthcare facilities.
  • Collaborate with Resident Service staff and other departments (such as Compliance, Accounting, and Maintenance) to address issues that may jeopardize a resident's housing stability and other activities impacting residents directly.
  • Identify training needs for staff, ensuring updated certifications and necessary skill sets are maintained.
  • Prepare and oversee the annual budget for Resident Services in partnership with the Executive Director.
  • Work alongside the Fund Development team to draft grant proposals for resident services and programs.
  • Ensure that all issues concerning at-risk tenants are identified, addressed, monitored, and reported to external agencies as required.
  • Lead the development and implementation of behavioral health, fitness, and wellness initiatives in collaboration with the Director of Health and Aging Programs.
  • Utilize RSD Salesforce reports to track resident services staff activities, including care coordination, resident notes, encounters, and assessments.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain a small caseload and provide care coordination in addition to management and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Engage in community committees, conferences, and events advocating for older adults and affordable housing.
  • Evaluate and propose new opportunities for integration within 2Life Communities.
  • Actively participate in 2Life task forces and committees.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling with LICSW/LMHC and a minimum of five years of post-Master's degree experience, or a combination of relevant Master's level training and experience.
  • Bilingual candidates or those from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Progressive clinical, supervisory, and administrative experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly in care coordination for older adults.
  • Able to travel to various campuses for meetings and training sessions.

Supervisory Duties

  • Direct supervision of all Resident Service staff.
  • Oversee social work interns and interns from other disciplines as needed.
