We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Youth Counselor at ITASKIN Treatment Campus. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing day-to-day supervision, care, and guidance to residents. No prior experience is necessary, as we offer comprehensive training and support to help you succeed in this impactful role.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Support Residents: Ensure a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for individuals in your unit.
- Provide Guidance and Care: Address the emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual needs of residents.
- Be a Positive Role Model: Teach valuable communication, coping, problem-solving, and social skills.
At ITASKIN Treatment Campus, we offer a range of programs designed to support youth and their families through challenging times. Our services include:
- Stabilization Program: Safe placement for youth aged 12-18, with health screenings, case management, and action plans.
- 35-Day Evaluation Program: Comprehensive assessment of strengths and areas for growth, with personalized recommendations and support.
- Intensive Residential Treatment: A structured 90-day program for youth requiring more intensive support.
- Residential Treatment Cottage: Therapeutic living for adolescents with Serious Emotional Disabilities (SED), focusing on strength-based programming and family collaboration.

RequirementsCandidates must be responsible, mature, self-motivated individuals who possess a desire to work with at-risk youth, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to set firm limits. Qualifications include being 21 years of age, having a valid Minnesota driver's license, and a high-school diploma or GED. Post-secondary education in the Human Service / Law Enforcement fields or equivalent experience is desirable but not mandatory.
