We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty - Sociology Instructor to join our team at the Alabama Community College System. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching sociology courses and implementing the instructional program in accordance with course syllabi, college policies, and system guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Teach sociology courses as assigned, facilitating student learning and implementing the total instructional program.
- Develop and maintain instructional-related records, including student attendance, grades, and enrollment records.
- Submit timely and accurate student no-show reports, ensuring instructor signatures and accuracy.
- Maintain classroom and laboratory equipment, supplies, and environments to promote learning.
- Complete required surveys and student data requests, promoting the specific instructional program and institution.
- Contribute to the welfare and advancement of the total community, keeping up-to-date with teaching methodology, occupational information, and technology.
- Incorporate technology into the teaching/learning experience, complying with applicable laws and regulations.
- Attend all adjunct faculty in-service activities and specially called meetings.
- Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, plan, organize, coordinate, and manage complicated tasks.
- Ability to utilize a PC and related hardware and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
