We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care to join our dedicated team at South Austin Hospital TX. This role involves providing exceptional care to patients in a high-acuity environment.
Certification Requirements- Current nursing certifications relevant to the role and unit are mandatory.
- Contract Type: RN - CVICU
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- On-call Requirements: None
- Proficient in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation.
- Experience with titratable drips and hemodynamic assessments.
- Knowledgeable in managing respiratory patients, including those on vents, Bipap, trachs, and airvo.
- Experience in recovery from open-heart surgery.
- Familiarity with ECMO, Impella devices, and balloon pumps.
- Experience with CRRT/SLED procedures.
- Charge nurse experience in CVICU is preferred.
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Details: 4 weekend shifts required for day shift; 6 weekend shifts for night shift.
- Unit: CV ICU
- Number of Beds: 8
- Staffing: 25 staff members
- Patient Ratios: 2:1, 1:1
- Equipment Used: GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and various ECMO circuits.
- EMR System: Meditech
- Common Procedures: Central line insertions, chest tube placements, bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, and intubations.
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
- Team Environment: Seeking a team player with a positive attitude and adaptability.
