Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Distribution Mechanic to join our team at the Midwest Regional Service Center. As a key member of our Logistics Division, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing material handling and warehousing equipment to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair material handling and warehousing equipment, systems, and processes
  • Monitor equipment operations and report necessary major repairs and maintenance to the appropriate department(s)/staff
  • Partner with the Maintenance team to ensure equipment is properly maintained, including providing recommendations for changes to the preventative maintenance (PM) program
  • Manage outside service providers, including acquiring quotes, maintaining records, and overseeing inspections by outside agencies and internal departments
  • Operate and make minor adjustments to the Exacta Warehouse Control System and screens on the Human Machine Interface (HMI)

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • One year of maintenance experience
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and related documents
  • Must be capable of lifting 0 – 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of equipment, including all photo eye locations, Exacta Control systems, and HMI screens
  • Strong mechanical skills, including knowledge of conveyor and sortation systems, hydraulic systems, compressed air systems, lubrication systems, warehouse control system, and HMI Screens
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work well and proactively communicate with individuals throughout the company and with external vendors
