Job Summary

Summary: Responsible for maintaining dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes, washing them by hand or placing them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Washes pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures, ensuring thorough cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Polishes silverware using appropriate equipment and procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Adheres to outlined safety procedures.
  • Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as per established standards.
  • Keeps the dish area organized and compliant with safety standards.
  • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
  • Cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
  • Removes trash and disposes of it in designated containers, steam cleaning or hosing out garbage cans as necessary.
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Assists in loading and unloading supplies and products.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
