Senior Geologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geologist to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants. As a key member of our geoenvironmental and geotechnical practice, you will apply your expertise in geology and geotechnical engineering to drive business growth and deliver exceptional results for our clients.

• Conduct surface and subsurface geotechnical, geological, and geohazard site investigations and characterization.
• Develop, install, and manage instrumentation monitoring systems.
• Support diverse project opportunities, including environmental, geotechnical, stormwater, and sediments.
• Utilize remote sensing data for geohazard identification, characterization, and monitoring.
• Map and manage geologic/geohazard data in ArcGIS databases.
• Prepare reports and figures.
• Assist in proposal development and business growth initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering.
• Advanced degree in the same (preferred).
• Professional registration (e.g., P.E. P.G.) (preferred).
• At least 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong fundamentals in geology or geotechnical engineering theory and practice.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of applied software (e.g., gINT, ArcGIS, etc.) and/or numerical methods using spreadsheets.
• Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move 30 to 49 pounds unaided and 50-100 pounds with assistance.
• Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
