Position Overview: Senior Financial Analyst, Operations

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Operations to enhance our growing finance department. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team integrates conventional financial planning with operational decision-making to support the leadership at Redwood. The finance division plays a crucial role in daily operations, offering assistance for both immediate execution and strategic planning. Team members are expected to interpret complex data from diverse sources and deliver recommendations aimed at improving processes and facilitating informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate operational workflows and performance indicators such as revenue, cost of goods sold, operating expenses, and capital investments by developing financial models and decision-support tools.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering departments on budgeting and strategic initiatives (e.g., capital expenditures, expansion strategies, automation, manufacturing scope, resource allocation).
  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis and offer strategic insights regarding growth initiatives, product pricing, and organizational processes.
  • Drive projects aimed at reducing manufacturing costs, including pinpointing opportunities for cost savings and implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and operational modeling.
  • Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or oil & gas sectors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proficiency in Excel and financial forecasting tools.
  • Effective communication skills across various management levels and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
This is a full-time role with compensation commensurate with experience.
