Coax Cable Technician

At ADEX, we are seeking a skilled Coax Splicer to join our team. As a Coax Splicer, you will be responsible for installing, splicing, and testing coax cable networks.
Key Responsibilities:- Report daily production and complete paperwork for individual projects weekly for billing, including as-builts for customers as needed.
- Climb utility poles, ladders, or utilize manlifts or bucket trucks to install, splice, test, and/or trouble-shoot coax cable networks.
- Assist with overflow work as needed and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Strictly adhere to company safety policies for vehicles, equipment, etc.
- Take direction from team leadership and interact professionally with the public and customer representatives.
- Ability to travel overnight as required and drive a bucket truck.
- Work at heights and perform other duties as assigned.
- Coax splicing, testing, and trouble-shooting experience.
- Ability to tune amplifiers by setting PADS and Equalizers to the appropriate levels per the network design.
- Efficiently sweep the DOCSIS network to identify areas in the plant that need repaired.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work long and unpredictable hours in all types of weather.
- Pass a pre-employment background check, have an acceptable motor vehicle license report, and pass a drug screen.
- Ability to read prints and splicing diagrams, distinguish colors, and utilize the communications color code standards.
- Ability to climb poles or use a bucket truck as needed and lift/carry 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. as needed with or without assistance.
- Ability to set up & maintain safe work areas.
- Eligibility to legally work in the United States (E-Verify).
- CDL would be a big plus for this position.
