Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a child-centered program that supports the holistic development of each child, utilizing interdisciplinary units of study.
  • Collaborate weekly with leadership staff to develop engaging lesson plans and activities.
  • Create daily lesson plans that align with educational standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain a well-organized, safe, and inviting classroom environment.
  • Build positive relationships with each child to foster self-esteem and adaptive skills.
  • Engage with families to share insights about their child's progress and experiences.
  • Conduct parent conferences to discuss developmental milestones and growth.
  • Coordinate educational activities that are developmentally appropriate and adhere to early learning standards.
  • Support toilet training and other personal development skills.
  • Lead by example, promoting teamwork and success among staff members.
  • Plan and execute individual and group activities that stimulate social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
  • Maintain open communication with parents through various channels.
  • Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
  • Promote a healthy classroom environment by adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Supervise assistants and volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities and safety protocols.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation as required.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with basic computer proficiency.
  • High energy and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with staff, children, and families.
  • A solid understanding of child development principles.
  • Certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
  • Successful completion of a background check and health screening.
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education with relevant certification.
