Job Description

As a Behavioral Health Care Associate, you'll be responsible for providing care for clinic patients under the supervision of our physicians or nurse practitioners. Your duties will include escorting patients to exam rooms, interviewing them, documenting their medical information, and communicating directly with patients as instructed by our medical professionals. You'll also be responsible for measuring vital signs, retrieving related reports and labs, and ensuring all information is accurately documented in patient charts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and interview them to document chief complaints, allergies, current medications, and other pertinent medical information.
  • Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document the information in patient charts.
  • Communicate directly with patients as instructed by physicians or nurse practitioners.
  • Provide written prescriptions for patients and document them accordingly.
  • Ensure all related reports, labs, and information are retrieved and uploaded into patient medical records prior to appointments.
  • Under the direction of physicians or advanced providers, communicate abnormal lab results to patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We're looking for a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a formal training program as a medical assistant, and at least one year of experience in a similar role. Electronic medical record experience and health insurance are also preferred. RMA or CMA certification and BLS are a plus.
