Health Advocates Network is currently in search of a Recreational Therapist to provide services in a mental health setting. This role involves registry positions within our organization.
Compensation: $71.40 per hour
Position Details:
- Area: Mental Health OT-8HR Class: RECT Shift: 1 Start: 08:00:00 End: 16:30:00
Certification Requirements: Acceptable certifications include those from the National Council for Therapeutic Certification (NCTRC) or the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient requirements
- Review medical documentation
- Engage in personal observations and discussions with patients and their families
- Implement a therapeutic program tailored to individual patient needs
- Stay informed about community and therapeutic resources to optimally assist patients
- Record patient progress during activities
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Recreational Therapist within the last 36 months
- Ability to establish rapport with patients
- Demonstrated compassion and care
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
