Surf Rescue Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Surf Rescue Technician. As a key member of our Emergency Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of beach patrons and preventing illegal conduct.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol the public beach area to monitor activities and promote safety
• Provide education and prevention to ensure beach safety
• Rescue distressed persons from the ocean or adjacent areas
• Administer first aid and monitor vital signs
• Enforce local ordinances and rules governing activities on the beach and in the water

Requirements

• Previous experience as a lifeguard desirable but not required
• CPR and basic first aid certification
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports
• Ability to speak effectively with the public and issue intelligible warnings and directions

Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions.
