Refrigeration Systems Technician – 2 Positions Available

Shift Details:
~ Night Shift: 6:15 PM - 6:45 AM
~ 4 Days On, 4 Days Off

Compensation Package:
~ Starting hourly wage of $34, with additional shift differentials for night shifts: $0.25 for 2nd shift and $0.30 for 3rd shift. Overtime is compensated at time and a half for hours exceeding 8 in a day. Potential earnings of $40.25 per hour for 12-hour shifts, including shift differentials.

Key Responsibilities:
To excel in this role, candidates must effectively manage the following responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety, PSM, environmental, SQF, and GMP policies and regulations.
- Exhibit strong knowledge and judgment while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, test, adjust, and maintain the facility's utility systems.
- Complete required Boiler and Ammonia Operator Training.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats throughout daily operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment and processes to ensure consistent operations across shifts.
- Support weekly work order schedules as coordinated by the Facilities Maintenance Planner.
- Utilize CMMS (SAP PM) for accurate documentation and tracking of work order hours and execution.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for equipment maintenance and repairs alongside Planner and Management.
- Actively participate or lead daily shift change discussions and shutdown meetings.
- Engage in Break-Down-Analysis (BDA) and 5S initiatives for assigned facility areas, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Flexibility to work overtime and adjust work hours as needed, including weekends and holidays.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
~ High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
~ A minimum of 2 years of experience in stationary engineering, industrial maintenance, commercial HVAC, or military equivalent is required.
~ Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
~ Completion of GCAP (or equivalent approved by Management) Boiler Tech 1 training within 6 months is required.
~ Certification in GCAP (or equivalent approved by Management) Ammonia Operator 1 within 6 months is required.
~ Certification in GCAP (or equivalent approved by Management) Ammonia Operator 2 within 12 months is required.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to:
- Stand for extended periods.
- Walk extensively on various surfaces and navigate stairs, responding quickly to emergencies.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work at heights using ladders, boom lifts, forklifts, or scissor lifts.
- Function in a noisy environment with fluctuating temperatures.
- Pass annual respirator testing for PSM compliance.
- Be open to working in a unionized environment.
