Draftsperson

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team at E.A. Fischione Instruments, a leading global nanotechnology solutions company. As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in generating and revising 3D models, part and assembly drawings, bills of materials, and other manufacturing documentation for our mechanical and electromechanical scientific instruments.

• Interpret sequence of events (SOE) documents and create animated operational method sheets (OMS) for manufacturing using SolidWorks Composer
• Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure accuracy and clarity in the OMS
• Update the OMS per engineering and manufacturing change requests
• Update models and drawings per engineering change requests
• Submit engineering change requests to release new products and/or make improvements
• Generate CAD drawings and manufacturing documents, such as part drawings, assembly drawings, and electrical documentation

• Associate's degree in drafting or a related field
• 0-2 years of experience
• Experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks Composer
• Animation/video editing experience to create work instructions
• Desire to learn and work on challenging problems
• Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Detail-oriented
• Able to work independently and with others
