About the Role:

Hartford Healthcare (HHC) is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit & Step Down team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to work in a fast-paced environment and make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Job Summary:

The selected candidate will provide direct critical care for complex critically ill patients, consult for stepdown admissions into the emergency department, and perform bedside procedures including central and arterial line placements and advanced ultrasonography.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
  • Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs and refer to other health team members or specialists as necessary
  • Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider's practice as designated by protocols and identify problems outside of their scope of practice and refer appropriately to physician

Qualifications:

  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
  • Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • New graduates welcome to apply

Salary:$143,000 - $190,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
