Assembler Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in assembling parts and subassemblies for OEM products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble parts with the aid of verbal instructions, prints, or sample parts.
  • Use various types of riveting devices, hand tools, air guns, and power devices to assemble parts.
  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Check parts for quality and accuracy using basic inspection devices such as micrometers, verniers, scales, squares, and gages.
  • Assemble prototypes with Engineering help.
  • Inspect parts for various types of cosmetic specifications.
  • Where required, must achieve certification in riveting.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
Requirements:
  • One-three months of related experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to read blueprints, work orders, and follow instructions.
  • Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills, and ability to multi-task.
  • Good finger and hand dexterity.
  • Ability to understand and follow MEC safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at a time.
