Housing Inspector

Job Summary:

The League of Minnesota Cities is seeking a skilled Housing Inspector to conduct mandated inspections of private rental housing units. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting rental housing units, identifying deficiencies, and communicating with City staff and property owners/managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of rental housing units per City guidelines
• Pass or fail inspections, indicate unit deficiencies, and conduct re-inspections as needed
• Regularly communicate with City staff and property owners/managers

Selection Criteria:

The successful candidate will have experience in residential inspection and rental housing inspection, certifications or licenses held, a reputation as an inspector, and availability and administrative ease.
