Job Title: Van Driver

Job Summary:

The Van Driver position is responsible for providing safe, courteous, and timely van/shuttle services to guests of the property in accordance with the Company's Safe Driving Policy and all driving laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist guests at all times by providing safe, courteous, and timely van/shuttle services.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle and perform necessary cleaning duties to ensure a safe, efficient, and clean motor vehicle.
  • Operate the van/shuttle on schedule and within the designated route.
  • Regulate heating, cooling, lighting, ventilating systems, and radio for guest comfort.
  • Receive and respond to guest comments and suggestions and pass these to the Hotel Management team.
  • Advises Hotel Management on safety and route improvements, reports accidents and hazards as necessary.
  • Perform other duties to support the overall operation of the property, including but not limited to picking up debris and cleaning, emptying trash containers, cleaning public areas, assisting at the front desk, guest laundry, and providing various housekeeping and/or maintenance functions.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum one year experience with the safe operation of passenger cars, trucks, or other motorized vehicles in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Valid in-state driver's license, evidence of a safe driving history, and demonstration of excellent driving skills.
  • Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance and cleaning.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
  • The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Environmental Job Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
