POSITION SUMMARY:
The Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for the assessment and treatment of a designated patient group, providing evaluations, modalities, and therapeutic interventions in line with established protocols, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee and take responsibility for the care provided by Physical Therapist Assistants, including orienting new staff and students, and assuming supervisory duties as needed.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs.
  3. Identify and implement suitable therapeutic interventions.
  4. Educate patients and their families.
  5. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to uphold professional standards and enhance teamwork.
  6. Engage in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to program development.
  7. Provide input for budget planning.
  8. Support cost-effective service delivery within the department.
  9. Communicate insights and suggestions for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Current licensure as a Rehabilitation Specialist in the State of Minnesota.
  2. BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within six months, with ongoing maintenance of certification.
  3. Preferred experience of one or more years in an acute care setting.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital.
  5. Consistent and reliable attendance.
