Your responsibilities will include overseeing nursing practices within the Med Surg unit, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulations. You will assess patients, establish nursing diagnoses, develop individualized care plans, and monitor patient responses to treatments. This role demands strong leadership and clinical expertise to ensure high-quality care for patients and support for nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough health assessments of patients using nursing judgment and critical thinking.
- Evaluate nursing procedures and implement evidence-based improvements as needed.
- Provide compassionate care by addressing both the emotional and physical needs of patients.
- Lead the Med Surg team in delivering exceptional patient care aligned with organizational goals.
- Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Engage in ongoing problem-solving and critical thinking to enhance patient care and unit operations.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med Surg or related nursing field.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (to be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Strong knowledge of nursing protocols and patient care practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
