Job Title: Production Technician

At The Cannabist, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality products are produced while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the post-harvest plant processing of medical cannabis, including trimming, drying, curing, weighing, packaging, labeling, and recording.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Transport harvested plants to drying and hang to be dried, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Hand trim and/or operate a trimming machine to remove guard and/or sugar leaves from medical marijuana.
  • Weigh, package, label, and record medical cannabis for distribution, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Receive instructions and assist on tasks as delegated by the management team, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Work in a quick and efficient manner, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain a culture of professionalism and service, ensuring daily compliance with policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a production position, including hands-on production activities.
  • General knowledge of weights and measurement.
  • Ability to work evening, night, and weekend shifts as required.
  • Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Speed and precision with equipment, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Working Conditions:

The Production Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels, exposure to pollen, dust, and plant particles. The job requires physical activity, including prolonged sitting, standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds (or more with a coworker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy are required.
