Job Title: BI Developer Epic

Ridgeview Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. As a key member of our analytics team, you will be responsible for designing and building analytics solutions to meet the needs of our clinical and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and test Epic-released and Foundation System content for all applications, including Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, Radar, and Cogito SQL.
  • Create content to display Epic data from Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle.
  • Write SQL and configure Radar settings for custom SQL metrics.
  • Modify existing reports, as necessary.
  • Distribute analytics content to data consumers.
  • Review peer reports for validity.
  • Work with subject matter experts to understand the needs of data consumers.
  • Test analytics build in a specified testing environment and volume testing in live environments.
  • Review upgrade documentation related to Cogito features and determine how to implement the changes.
  • Build and maintain processes and programs, including Cubes, extracts, SlicerDicer custom filters, third-party business intelligence tools, and Epic data in Caboodle.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High level of critical thinking analysis.
  • User-focused design and data visualization skills.
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Proficiency and demonstrated experience with analytics tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in engineering, physics, computer sciences, math, information systems, or statistics.
  • Certified in Cogito Fundamentals and Cogito Tools Administration.
  • Certified in at least one Epic data model that they support.
  • Studied or trained in the Epic application fundamentals for their areas of responsibility.
  • Familiarity with content available for the applications they are working with.
  • Trained in Cogito SQL, SQL metrics, and SlicerDicer custom filters.
  • Experience writing analytical reports with Clarity and Caboodle data.
  • Certified in Epic applications relevant to their areas of responsibility.
  • Certified and proficient in multiple Epic data models.
  • Highly skilled in SQL structures and concepts.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above.
