We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at Fitchburg Comprehensive Treatment Center.
About the Role:The Substance Use Disorder Counselor will play a vital role in providing high-quality, individualized care to patients seeking recovery from opioid use disorder. As a member of our counseling team, you will work closely with patients to develop and implement treatment plans, facilitate group and individual counseling sessions, and provide crisis intervention and case management services.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions
- Plan, oversee, and document patient recovery
- Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents
- Prepare individual treatment plans for assigned patients
- Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed
- May plan for aftercare for assigned patients
- Provide crisis intervention and case management services as needed
- Master's degree in a social or health services field
- Prior experience and knowledge in addiction recovery and/or MAT (medication-assisted treatment) environment
- One of the following licenses/certifications: CAC, CAS, CADAC, CRC, LADC, LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT
