Role Summary:
We are in search of a proficient Imaging Engineer with a focus on MRI technology to join our dedicated team. This position entails the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of MRI imaging systems. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the MRI systems operate at peak efficiency, thereby facilitating superior patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the installation, calibration, and maintenance of MRI imaging systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, calibrations, and repairs on a variety of MRI equipment, including those from leading manufacturers.
- Address and resolve MRI equipment issues swiftly using advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to uphold equipment reliability and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Employ technical tools and service documentation to carry out maintenance and repairs effectively.
- Engage with healthcare teams to assess their imaging requirements and deliver tailored technical support for MRI systems.
- Stay informed about advancements in the field and integrate best practices into MRI equipment management.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair operations.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure the safe and effective operation of imaging equipment, leveraging knowledge of electronics and medical principles.
- Provide demonstrations and training to medical personnel on the proper use of MRI systems.
- Ensure preventive maintenance aligns with current manufacturer specifications to meet safety and performance standards.
- Perform additional modality-specific tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of MRI systems, particularly with expertise in major MRI brands.
- Strong technical acumen and comprehensive knowledge of MRI imaging technologies.
- Proficient in utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
- Experience with MRI systems from various manufacturers.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to support various healthcare facilities.
