Furniture Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Repair Specialist to join our team at Wayfair. As a key member of our Distribution team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality products that meet their expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate damages and defects of items to determine if they can be repaired, and make any necessary adjustments to ensure items are in perfect condition for delivery.
- Prioritize and execute daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to ensure completion in a timely and effective manner.
- Accurately report outcomes of work in progress, completed, and past due work.
- Monitor inventory and order replacement parts and complete installs as needed.
- Administer appropriate repair methods for various product types, including wood and upholstery repairs.
- At least 5+ years of prior experience in furniture repair/construction.
- Advanced understanding of repairing wood items, including color and stain matching, damage/defect repair.
- Ability to use power and hand tools as needed.
- Advanced understanding of repairing upholstery and multiple fabric types.
- High attention to detail and prioritization of quality to deliver a perfect item to the customer.
- Comfort with lifting up to 75 lbs. unassisted and moving product 150+ lbs. unassisted or via team lift.
- Ability to work on a warehouse floor for 8 hours a day or more.
- Strong, consistent work ethic and ability to manage time effectively.
- Comfort with scanning technology.
- Able to read and comprehend English to ensure safety and the safety of those working around you.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Certification in Furniture Repair/Restoration, preferred.
