Job Summary

St Josephs Hospital and Medical Center is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a Travel Respiratory Therapist - ICU Specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled RT to work in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU setting, utilizing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective respiratory care plans.
  • Run all vents, bipap V60, and cpap, as well as assist with bronchs and respond to Clinical Response Team calls.
  • Responsible for all ABGs and work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate medication administration.
  • Participate in unit orientation and validate skills to ensure seamless integration into the team.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including 6a-630p and 6p-630a, with every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of strong ICU experience, with a preference for NICU experience.
  • Active BLS, ACLS, RRT, and Current AZ Respiratory License.
  • Ability to assist with bronchs and proficiency in at least one of the following: Cervo I, Cervo II, Jets, or Oscillators.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
