Conducts patient evaluations in a systematic and organized manner to ensure high-quality and safe outcomes.
Provides guidance and collaborates with team members to promote a healthy work atmosphere.
Analyzes gathered data to develop a care plan that leads to high-quality and safe outcomes.
Implements a care plan with measurable criteria that align with top-tier performance standards.
Assesses the care plan with the patient and their support system to maintain exceptional levels of patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Contributes to a high-performance work culture by seeking educational resources that enhance and sustain current knowledge and skills.Participates in nursing councils or committees, with a commitment to being active in at least one council every five years. A minimum of 80% attendance, either in person or via phone, is required. Progress in the Clinical Ladder will be reflected in the annual application process and is expected as part of job performance standards.
Additional Responsibilities That May Be Assigned:
Must be capable of completing the following Unit Specific Job Duties:
Recognizes, interprets, and documents patients' signs and symptoms. Demonstrates advanced knowledge in pathophysiology to anticipate medical and/or nursing interventions.
Exhibits skills in managing potential crises (trauma, delivery, pacemakers, peritoneal lavage).
Assists respiratory therapy in the management of mechanical ventilation.
Maintains central lines, midlines, and PICC lines.
Communicates effectively on the designated radio system.
Demonstrates knowledge of triaging patients using a five-level triage method.
Exhibits competency in caring for moderately sedated patients.
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency medications (titrating cardiac drugs).
Shows proficiency in administering thrombolytic therapy.
ACLS certification is required within six months of hire.
PALS certification is required within six months of hire.
CPI Training is required within six months of hire.
Demonstrates capability to lead during a Code Blue until a physician arrives.
Exhibits knowledge and ability for outpatient procedures (blood patch, paracentesis, etc.).
Utilizes the Tracking Board effectively.
Performs 12-lead EKGs in collaboration with the Cardiology Department.
Demonstrates knowledge of and assists with care for both adult and pediatric patients.
Assists with laboratory specimen collections in collaboration with the Laboratory.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
Licensure:
Registered Nurse license from the relevant State Board of Nursing. Some areas may require a valid driver's license.
Experience:
Graduate of an RN Program.
