Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support critical projects in the National Capital Region (NCR). Key Responsibilities
The Senior Structural Engineer will play a vital role in supporting engineering and design initiatives related to pre-construction and will assist the project management team. Specific responsibilities include:
- Facilitating Government acquisition processes for both architectural/engineering services and construction projects by coordinating efforts across various Government working groups.
- Offering subject matter expertise in managing and overseeing forensic studies and designs for various project types, including:
- New construction projects
- Renovations and enhancements to existing facilities
- Providing engineering support and analysis to the Government in the management of awarded study and design contracts.
- Reviewing the work of architectural/engineering contractors and delivering written reports of findings to the Government.
- Assisting the Government in conducting site evaluations, field surveys, and site visits to assess constructability and compliance with codes.
- Conducting technical design reviews from initial concepts through to finalized design drawings.
- Independently scheduling and leading weekly and monthly project progress meetings to assess schedule adherence, identify deviations from the accepted baseline, and evaluate risks to the long-term health of projects and programs.
