Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of Grantek's Smart Packaging Solutions Team, your role will involve:

  • Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Delivering services such as configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting, both onsite and remotely.
  • Interpreting technical documentation, including schematics and manuals.
  • Collaborating with electrical and mechanical installation teams.
  • Connecting to PLCs and cameras for configuration and verification.
  • Conducting I/O checks and tuning camera systems.
  • Working closely with the Engineering team on various projects.
  • Providing guidance on mechanical installations and troubleshooting software and electrical issues.
  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Training customer operators and maintenance staff.
Technologies Utilized

While you may not be familiar with all the technologies listed below, a foundational understanding and eagerness to learn will help you get up to speed:

  • PLC Programming Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley.
  • Barcode Scanners and Smart Cameras (Cognex).
  • Basic Ethernet networking principles.
  • HMI Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Ignition.
  • SCADA Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Inductive Automation.
  • Operating Systems: Microsoft.
  • Project Documentation: Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
  • Typically, 2-3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Possession of or progress towards an EET diploma or Mechatronics diploma/AS degree.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
